Purpose: This form collects information about the Business Applicant and its owners' financial condition. Complete in its entirety — attach a separate sheet if necessary. This information is current as of the date of submission (within 90 days for 7(a)/504/SBG or 30 days for 8(a) BD).

What Is SBA Form 413?

SBA Form 413, the Personal Financial Statement, is the SBA’s snapshot of your personal finances: everything you own, everything you owe, and your income. Lenders use it to judge repayment ability and to decide what personal assets could support the loan. It is required for SBA 7(a) loans, 504 loans, surety bond guarantees, and the 8(a) and WOSB programs.

Who Has to File One?

Every proprietor, every general partner, every managing member of an LLC, every owner of 20 percent or more of the business, and every guarantor. Married applicants in community property states may also need a spouse’s signature when spousal assets are included.

The Mistakes That Delay Approvals

After decades of packaging SBA applications, the same handful of errors come up: figures older than 90 days (the SBA requires current numbers), a net worth line that does not equal assets minus liabilities, real estate listed without the mortgage balances, forgotten contingent liabilities like co-signed loans, and retirement accounts left out entirely. Any one of these sends the file back and costs weeks.

The form below mirrors the current SBA Form 413 line by line. Complete it online and it comes straight to us for review before anything goes to a lender, or download the fillable PDF above. If you would rather talk it through first, call 914.419.3059. Reviewing your draft is free; if we place your financing, we charge a small fee at closing.
